When he whipped that gun out of the box, it reminded me of his character in Scarface.
That’s a cool scene, but when Sonny is on the phone having an argument with his *** lover who’s trying to have a *** change, and says; “You think you got problems? Sal thinks Wyoming is a country!” Pure Genius.
Just them. These two were a team back in the day. Cazale died in ‘78 after the Deer Hunter. Hollywood has never been the same. There are only 5 films that he starred in and they are all the most critically acclaimed movies of the 70’s. Some are of all time. And he is a major reason why in some of them. Particularly this one. He almost steals it from Pacino who recommended him for the part.
Michael and Freido playing Sonny and Sal. That’s funny. I wonder how many more Godfather characters are in this movie.

I love that scene-stealer Marcia Jean Kurtz (1:42)! One of the several tributes paid by Spike Lee to this move was to give Marcia a small role in “Inside Man”.
My favourite line in the whole film still comes from the pizza man. He should’ve won an Oscar. The whole movie’s just leading up to that part where he gives Pacino the pizza and the cokes, guides him through the door, pats him on the back as he goes inside, then turns to the police, the spectators, and the television crews, and yells “I’M A FUCKING STAR!!”
Pacino is every girl’s boyfriend and, no, I don’t like bad boys, and neither does he!!
