My little dog gets the hiccups a few times a week. My other dog never gets them, and I have never had a dog that has gotten them. Is it normal for a dog to get hiccups?
I knew it was common for a puppy to get the hiccups. My Simon is three now and still gets them a lot. I just think it is strange. It is cute when he gets them, he gets all scaird and comes cuddle up with me. I usually pat him on the back or rub his belly till they go away

My puppy gets hiccups a couple of times a week, and one of my adults get hiccups about once a month. The others almost never do.
my coon hound mix gets the hiccups every time i scold him. i have own several dogs that got hiccups, I just think some do and some don’t
LOL…. My pups get hiccups everytime I scold them too…LOL Or if they drink too much water… Usually means lack of oxygen
I have three dogs, a mutt, jack russle terrier, and a English mastiff. all three of them get hickups sometimes.
Well, I doubt it’s anything bad lol.Probably just like for humans.But I’ve never heard any dogs hiccup when I think about it…or I don’t think I have.
my puppy gets them all the time she eats to fast and thats what causes it for her atleast
Our Chihuahua used to get the hiccups almost every day when he was a young puppy, and as he got older, he grew out of it. He’ll be two in February, and he might get the hiccups once every five or six weeks now. It always surprises me when he does get them, I’m not used to it anymore.
