wildcat137 asked:

My dog does not usually bark at other dogs when we are out but barks at any dog that is walking down the street when she is in the house. I tell her no but she does not respond. She continues to stay at the window and bark. If I try to approach her she runs and then attempts to go back to the window. She will sometimes jump on the door to go out when another dog is outside or has passed. How can I stop her from doing this?

You need some obedience training so she listens to you, and take her for more walks, she will be too tired to keep barking. Get her some toys, that barking is from boredom. Maybe try socialising her with other dogs, or is she aggressive?

telling her no is not going to work you need to distract her and play with her with a ball or her favorite toy take her mind off it or bribe her with treats eventually she will calm down with persistence

you can buy one of the collars for barking dogs. that after a while will tone that down, or a less harmfull way is with a simple water bottle. when he barks you say a command like
“cut it” but use that command every time..

My dog has the same problem, she barks at everything. Dont let her slap her on her bottom next time and put her in a carrier (if you have one)

Dalai2 is right. The dog is doing its job. He or she is protecting its territory and for a lot less money than it costs to install a security system! My dog is in there right now barking at folks walking by, but I can now tell the difference between an attention-needing, you’ve-been-on-the-computer-too-long, let’s-play bark, and an OMIGOD!-YOU-SHOULD-REALLY-SEE-THIS!9 bark33. Dino has joinedme at the 456643456 keyboard now. (the numbers are him walking on the keyboard) He agrees with me. Excuse me. I have to go play with someone.
