Skidboot is a special dog. I don’t know whether he’s alive or in Heaven but I do know that that dog was a gift from God to his owner. The puppies could be trained and be like Skidboot but they will never replace the real thing.

Nice story. I have an older border collie that is so smart like that but starting to have problems of his own. It’s sad. They’re such great dogs!

A beautiful story is all I can say. I cried as I watched it. I have had some wonderful dogs along the way that each had a bit of Skidboot in them. What a wonderful dog he has been to his master. He will indeed be a living legend. Those children will always remember him. God blessed Mr. Hartwig and everyone with a wonderful friend in Skidboot. The biggest lesson learned from this story: NEVER GIVE UP ON WHAT MAY BE CONSIDERED A TROUBLESOME DOG!!!

Australian Cattle Dogs are amazing and incredibly smart. I have 2 of my own. Skidboot lived a wonderful life, I wanted to cry when I heard he was going blind. It’s sad that he passed away.
